Philip Novak

Philip NovakPhilip Novak received his Ph.D. from the department of Religion at Syracuse University in 1981 and is currently a Sarlo Distinguished Professor in the Departments of Philosophy and Religion at Dominican University where he has taught for 32 years. He is the author of  The World’s Wisdom (Harper, 1994), an anthology of the sacred texts of the world’s religions; The Vision of Nietzsche (Element, 1996), an anthology of the writings of the noted German philosopher; and  and co-author with Huston Smith of Buddhism: A Concise Introduction (Harper, (2003). Phil has also published some forty articles and book reviews in both scholarly and popular journals.
